This is not a question but a solution for an issue that has recently come up. On the 7010s we have, they were shipped with bios A05. Upon installation the dell software suggest getting updates on some of the the units bios so we did to A09.
I am trying to uninstall the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Control Driver (v.1.0.4.220 as supplied by Dell) from Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit. The uninstall routine appears to complete OK when run from the Control Panel and then prompts for a restart.
With an Admin password set, if I boot and press F12, the Onboard NIC and CD/DVD (when Windows 7 DVD mounted) get display as an option to boot (no admin password needed to select the option).
