OMSA 6.4 64-bit doesn't recognize Perc 4 storage controllers. Has anyone found a fix? I tried installing the 32-bit deb packages, but the Perc 4 controllers still weren't detected. Please help!

Thanks for such a through post on the memory options - its a bit clearer to me now though still tough to figure out the best options. I'm seeing on a R510 the "optimized" memory configs are mostly 3x number of modules but they list the speed as 1066mhz.

One thing to point out in the VM SQL third paper. The last time I checked HA and FT is not supported by VMware on 2 vCPU as the paper uses for their test. We wanted to do that same setup and use HA and FT but learned it was not supported.

This an excellent article, with real world analagy as to what one does to test and validate a configuration. The deployment guides not only makes life easier for customers, but it also eases the implementation.

I could really use more information from dell on how to use the with the 146GB seagate drives, the H700 and running a R710 server with Redhat 5.5. I set up a passphase on the PERC and then made a file system on it and wrote a 10GB worth of A's to a file.

From the Dell customers perspective, these kind of certifications are totally useless, as long as your technical support teams do not officially support the operating system.
