For the past few weeks, I have been having trouble maintaining a steady wireless internet connection. I intermittently lose the connection or the strength of the connection fluctuates. I have an Inspiron 1521, with a Dell Wireless 1390 Wlan Mini-Card. Also, I am running Windows 7.

However, I'm reluctant to dispose of my multi screen quad core 9200 and plan to give it some new life with some upgrades, use it as an admin system and keep the shiny new system for media and some multiscreen applications -

It originally came with one 2.4GHz CPU but I bought a pair of 2GHz ones off ebay. With one of these in, it boots fine and I managed to install a fresh copy of server 2003 Datacenter on it.

1) Running Windows 8. I have installed the OS on the 30 GB SSD. Unfortunately it quickly runs out of Space because apps are always installed on the C: drive. Is it possible to upgrade to a larger SSD? 2) There is a really annoying fan noise. Pretty high pitch sound all the time.

The server hosts XenServer and a handful of VMs that run a mixture of operating systems such as SBS 2008, Server 2003 w/ SQL Server and Linux. Read performance is really poor - could this be down to the Disk Cache or Stripe Size?

I am fed up with dell . Dell ows me my money back or a new laptop. My warranty expired but the problems were there since day 1 . I would like to report this to Corporate office so they can take care of this issue with out charging me.
