I have an Inspiron 7520 and uninstalled and reinstalled the new version of Dell Backup and Recovery Manager -- upgraded to premium to make sure that I would have full ability to use the program. Note: the old version didn't work at all -- hung up on backup, etc. I have rebooted. 5/25/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

AlienFX launches fine and I can see the green icon in the notification area, but trying a quick change for the led panels or going trough the Command Center has no effect. After a while a balloon pops up from the notification area saying that AlienFX could not communicate with the hardware. 5/25/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

Last time I fixed the problem by rolling back an NVIDIA driver. However, I am still using the rolled back NVIDIA driver (the good one) and the problem has reoccurred. I tried recovering Windows 7 to a restore point, but the oldest restore point I had, dated March 28th, did not fix the problem. 5/25/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |
