I just purchased a N5050 laptop, thinking that it would have a port for a phone line for my dial-up internet service. I live in a rural area and that is all we can get for now. What would be an inexpensive solution for me to connect dial-up to this laptop? What are my options?

Hello, when i try to downlod preinstalled factory software, internet explorer addon scans my laptop, and after gives service tag not registered error.

Any information on the hard drive will not be deleted at the Dell factory when repairing the laptop unless if the problem itself is with the hard drive. Dell factory will only reimage the hard drive if there are any bad sectors on the hard drive.

To begin with I would recommend you to check the screen in BIOS. Turn on the system; Press at the initial Dell logo screen to enter System Setup. In case you see blurry screen in BIOS then there can be problem with the LCD screen.
