Hi, I went to the list of the services and I have manually started the service called Bluetooth Support Service and BT has started working properly. So I have change the start of this service to be automatic. Hopefully it will help to you also.
Finally someone else has reported this problem. I have the same problem exactly as you have described it. Same machine, same OS (32 bit). I worked on it with Dell technical support on two separate occasions. Of course a brand new adapter did not solve the problem.
There is another post in the hardware section that pertains to your problem and may help you.
You must enter the Service Tag. There should be all parts that system got, unless it is from Outlet. If this doesn't work, open the laptop and search for module - here is the service manual: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/late6400/en/sm/html/index.htm Best regards, Maciej
I actually have the exact same problem. could you do the same for me? thanks
I cannot get this device to work - even though I follow the instructions in the approved Dell answer :-(! On my computer there are no Microsoft Com ports and no BT devices to delete - only the one installed using the WIDCOMM software.
