Please check if the optical drive is being recognized in the BIOS. Restart the System and tap F2 on the Dell Logo. On the Main page of the Bios, please check if the SATA ODD is detected. If the Optical drive is detected in the BIOS, check if the drive is detected inside the operating system.
Running along smoothly and unexpectedly my HP4320 printer stops printing. Open the printer properties and it's checked with Use Offline. I uncheck it and come back and it's checked again...sporadically. Having trouble with usb ports. Some work sometimes. Some work never.
I went through the process of loading Dell's "Check Service Tag software on my Dell 1545 laptop, then ordered a replacement screen for the laptop based on the number that DELL's software provided in it's list of replacement parts. I ordered the part directly from Dell.
Here is what I have done to resolve this concern. First I have mounted my Zino HD on a milk crate. (avalible at any Walmart.) Inside the milk crate I placed a small personal fan. (wind machine) Then I tilted it vertical and set it to hi speed blowing into the bottom of the Zino. Problem solved
Hi I have Dell Vostro 330. MY mother board cannot detect any drive on sata port 0 and 1. I cannot find new motherboard as your company does not make one. I was thinking if I could buy USB to Sata connector and connects external hard drive as an internal one to make the vostro running.

To make a long story short I had to replace the mother board on my Aurora (R1 I think). I'm rather confident that I put everything back in the right place, my PC turned on and loaded after all. Now my system fan runs all crazy. It ramps up to 4000 rpm for no reason then back down.
I just purchased an Inspiron 14R for my granddaughter (graduation present). I know Dell doesn't ship OS Recovery disks anymore (poor decision), but I thought I'd be able to create one from the Dell Backup and Recovery app.
I am having the same problem, I've tried the Windows key + enter solution but it didn't work, and I don't know how to try the other solutions when I can't see anything on the screen. Has this problem ever been resolved?
