My relatively new (April 2012) Alienware was working like a charm, till this past, fateful Friday. As I was planning to reposition myself into a more pleasing configuration, my AC plug fell out of the slot.

Hello, I'm trying to figure out what is the difference between these two options existing in Dell Backup & Recovery application as the print screen below. First I tried to create the system restore disks by using the Media Recovery option without success.
Recently one day it failed to come out of sleep and did reboot and worked fine. After that while working vertical block green lines on screen appeared randomly also chunks of red and green dots appeared randomly this persisted for 1 day.
i recently had to downgrade my dell vostro 1540. it can pre installed with windows 7. this laptop was purchase specially to work with a piece of equipment. the probllem arose when i realised that the equipments datalogger/application would not work on a windows 7 platform, only xp and older.

Hello, I have a XPS L502X with a Quanta Camera and I just installed Windows 8. Windows 8 already includes the web cam drivers for this camera, but I can't get any software to be able to detect it, it says that the camera might be busy. I tried installed the Windows 7 driver but is not possible.

I have a three year old Inspiron 1545. About a month ago the computer stopped detecting the wifi at home. It never had this problem before, and the other household laptop and iPhone had no problem detecting and getting onto the the wifi. The problematic laptop will connect to the net via wire.

I have a dell studio 1558 with a core i3 processor. I've had it for two years now and never had any problems with it all. A couple of weeks ago it just started freezing randomly. Most of the times it freezes when it's idle even if it's two minutes it still freezes.
I am doing this on behalf of my Partner whos Dell Inspiron M5030 failed yesterday, it has the 7 bleep start up fault but when i try and send a message to Dell with the service tag i just get the out of warranty message.
