First off, the lucky XPS 10 owners that downloaded the new updates that systems work the same, well I wish I were you guys. I however didn't get out so lucky. Here is my story. I got a replacement XPS 10 Tablet in the mail today that seemed to work fine.
Oddly enough it seems that the track pad/mouse pointer stops working when the screen is black. e.g. during the time the screen is black the pointer on the screen doesn't move. I thought it might be related to the back light on the keyboard or the touch buttons.
I have the Inspiron 6000 since 2005 without any problem, but it has been used sparingly by my wife from 2009 till now, that a boot problem started. After I start the laptop (with no computer password), it would try to run the BIOS (showing the big DELL with www.dell.
