I see several threads looking for XPS 8500 video card upgrades that can be used with the stock 460w PSU or upgraded PSU. However, in upgrading the GPU for this machine, there are some cards that will not be compatible and will result in a black screen.

I have the Inspiron 6000 since 2005 without any problem, but it has been used sparingly by my wife from 2009 till now, that a boot problem started. After I start the laptop (with no computer password), it would try to run the BIOS (showing the big DELL with www.dell.

To install the printers, most will install without any problems. Some printers will have problems installing because of Firewalls, Virus Programs and Security Suites. Sometimes disabling the Firewall, Virus Programs and the Security Suites will allow the printer to communicate and install.
