1) Using Repository Manger, i exported the PER710 (Windows Bundle) as an "SUU to Directory" on a USB Thumb Drive 2) I copied Catalog.xml.gz and Catalog.xml.gz.sign to the \repository dir on the USB drive.
The compatibiltiy shows that the drivers are in Windows Update. I do not see it there. Is there a different model's drivers that I can use? The windows 7 drivers do not want to install unless there is a trick to getting them installed.
I then go into bios and set HD controller to "ATA mode" (other two modes still causes it), and then reinstall clean Vista OS, plus all normal drivers (minus intel matrix stuff) and now I have no pops anymore.
I request you to update the quickset and touchpad driver from the support website. Restart the system after each driver installation. Click on the link below and enter the system service tag and click Submit. Select the Operating system from the dropdown list to get the drivers for your computer.
So I recently got my X51 and I'm loving it. I splurged a bit and got the blu-ray drive in hopes of playing blu-rays on my computer. The computer shipped with Cyberlink PowerDVD 10. Well, I popped in The Hobbit and it simply wouldn't play.
Numerous owners have reported that Dell Tech Support is saying that speaker damage is not covered if the popular VLC Media Player is installed on the laptop. A Dell liaison wrote:
I bought a Dell Inspiron with the following specs and scrolling does not work. This is immensely frustrating. I have used macs for years and don't know the ins and outs of windows. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Inspiron 17R - 5720
I have a m4700 and replaced the CD/DVD drive with a HD Caddy kit and added my 500 GB Seagate drive. The system sees the drive and I can access the data that was on it (this drive was already in use in my other Dell laptop) but I cannot write to the drive. The message says it is write protected.
I have having problems with my laptops turboboost working when it wants... actually ... if I don't have it plugged it the turbo boost works nice and game run smooth.. however if I plug it in sometimes it works other times it does usually it just sits in the energy saver mode..
I doubt it's water in the cooling system. If it leaked, you'll probably have to replace the entire cooling system or perhaps switch over to the fan and air-cooled heatsink system here or here. And there's always eBay or call Dell Spare Parts.
Okay, so I got my Inspiron 1525 about 1 year ago, it was used. But in excellent condition so the buying was not a problem. My charger started to break so i bought another charger off ebay.
Laptop wont turn on with the power button, If I remove the battery and plug it in it will turn on. After it turns on I can press and hold the power button and it will turn off. If I turn it on by pulling the battery it works perfectly without issue. Any ideas?
