Hi, i have some problem with my dell n5010 and it's power connection. The pin in the middle of the power connection cable broke inside the power jack of the motherboard. Do you know any way of remove it, or I need to replace the power jack board? Thanks in advance.

For transferring data between two computer's you need a specially designed Easy transfer cable. A regular USB cable might not be useful. You may refer to Microsoft article Here. One such example of Easy Transfer Cable for Windows 7 is Here. Hope this helps.

Oddly enough it seems that the track pad/mouse pointer stops working when the screen is black. e.g. during the time the screen is black the pointer on the screen doesn't move. I thought it might be related to the back light on the keyboard or the touch buttons.

I just got my new dell laptop yesterday and in trying to get access to the owners manual I was required to enter the service tag which I did and it said it didn't recognize the tag I entered. I got the ST from the computer itself. What gives?

It may not fit and the power supply would need to be updated. 79xx cards can be 10 to 12 inches long and 2 slots wide and require 750W or better power supply with 2x PCI-E power connections.

Thanks that did indeed get me into the BIOS. However no matter what external boot device i try (bootable USB key, external DVD rom, etc.) i cannot get the unit to boot from them so i can reimage, it always defaults back to Win 8. Any ideas on how to get past this?

I have an Inspiron 7520 that originally came without a msata card. I've changed the daugtherboard and installed a 128Gb Crucial mSata Card. My idea is to use the msata as an individual Unit with SO and common applications and the Original 750gb HDD for the rest of the data (Not an Hybrid disk).

I recently had a service call to replace the motherboard on my Dell 15R SE (7520). This service call fixed the the original problem but the new motherboard is exhibiting a brand new problem of its own.

Hello, I updated the OS to Win8...but now want to restore it back to factory condition to sell the laptop. Can anyone assist? None of the PC restore options I have found online help (i.e. F11, F7...etc.).

I've tried several different DELL original power supplies which I know work and which power/recharge other D610s, but they do not power mine at all. The BIOS reports "AC adapter type: none" at all times.
