Please help. I just received my brand new M17xR4, and the speaker in the tool bar shows mute, and when I hover over it, it tells me No Audio Output Device is installed. What to do?

I have a weird problem with my daughters laptop. When you turn on the laptop without the battery it starts to turn on but stops. With just the battery it does the same thing. I found this by mistake if you turn on with battery only and then plug power supply in and it starts right up.

After pushing the F1 key the boot up starts and the system tray has just the battery icon with the power adapter plugged attached. After some time the charging icon appears and a information window about stealth mode and re-starting the system.

Hello all, I am having a problem with my Dell XPS M1530 it is turning 4 years old this September and this is the first hardware problem I have ran into. Problem is my screen will flicker, fade in and out to negative/white/random colors when the screen is in certain postions.

As the owner of a DELL XPS L502X (almost 12 months old and 36 days from warranty run out), I'd like to inquire if anyone has had the same problem as I have just encountered. My power pack (Dell original) has a blue 'light up' ring near the end that plugs into my computer.

0 with IE8/XP Pro, without problems. I'm not exactly sure what it adds to my layered security mix, but as long as it gives me no grief I will keep it. I rather imagine ky331 will have more to say on this.

I have dug all thru the net and I can not find this OEM screen and do not have the part number. I have an Inspiron 1545 (I have it packaged so I am trying to avoid getting the tag number). It was given to me and I work on computers, so I can replace this screen myself.

You are correct, the Dimension E520 does not support IDE/EIDE drives, to install an IDE hard drive, you would need to install a PCI IDE controller card.

I have an Inspirn 570 hooked up to a Dell monitor, which stopped displaying the screen, it is just blank. To be more specific when I start up the comuter it shows the startup screen, but when my Windows 7 Home would start loading the screen goes black.
