I am having a similar problem with horizontal black lines as described in http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/peripherals/f/3529/t/19502072.aspx . In addition, at strange times the video goes black for 2-3 seconds and then comes back. Has any progress been made on the black line issue?
I am in the process of upgrading the RAM in our dual-processor R410 and would like to verify the configuration before buying the memory. If I am reading the documentation correctly, I believe the following memory configuration should work giving us a total of 124GB in Optimizer mode.
I have had a dell Inspiron 15R N5110 for a couple of years now and i only had problems with it a couple of months ago. I had to wipe my hard drive and reload everything but it worked fine.
I know this is a pretty old machine by now, but I found the optiplex 170L in a garage sale for $50 and thought that it was a goodish deal. I got a graphics/video card (nVidia GeForce 6200 and i have no clue how to install it.
I read that some people did all this to this computer and I'm not sure of what parts to look for and if I can even do it, I also heard that some of them are limited by the chipset to only 2gb and 2gb only regardless the os used...How do I figure this out before I go out and buy the ram?

I've got a M17xR3 which i bought a couple of years ago, and was wondering if there was anyway of arranging with Dell to get a graphics card upgrade. I'm currently running a Geforce GTX 560M which can't really cope with today's games (my fault for being cheap i guess!)
I have a brand new Latitude E6530 with Dell Wireless 5630 (EDVO-HSPA) Mobile Broadband Mini-Card. I know for a fact this device was working when I received the Laptop.
First off, the lucky XPS 10 owners that downloaded the new updates that systems work the same, well I wish I were you guys. I however didn't get out so lucky. Here is my story. I got a replacement XPS 10 Tablet in the mail today that seemed to work fine.
1) Using Repository Manger, i exported the PER710 (Windows Bundle) as an "SUU to Directory" on a USB Thumb Drive 2) I copied Catalog.xml.gz and Catalog.xml.gz.sign to the \repository dir on the USB drive.
