I want to add an extra drive to my 760 which only has two sata ports. I am using these for main hard drive and DVD rewriter. I need to add an extra peripheral card to drive the new hard drive. I have tried a couple of pci cards with no success.
The Inspiron 15R has a SATA2 port, for which the maximum transfer speed is 300 MB/s, right? So there is no point in buying an SSD which has faster transfer rate, am I correct?
We just received a new Dell PowerEdge R620 II and for applicative requirements we have to disable HyperThreading on the server. As usual I disabled the Logical Processors option in BIOS but the OS (RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.8) is reporting 12 threads (CPU is an Intel E5-2630, only one installed).
