Willem De Wolf, The issue is a matter of unsupported memory. The dimms you are using are likely not supported in the SC440. If you can give me the specifics about the dimms, I could try to clarify this for you. Let me know.
I rebooted the computer and it won't boot anymore to Windows 2008. It says, "Searching for devices at HBA 0... Then after that, it says, "Device not available at HBA 0". Here's a picture. Please advise.(Forums)
thanks for your response, today i looked inside. there is a cable scsi cable attached from tapedriver to a scsi adapter, named ATTO ExpressPCI PSC card. I looked for the drivers on Attotech.com. the latest drivers 1.68, are too old for this OS.
Windows Home Server isn't actually supported on Dell Servers, that being said. What expansion cards do you have installed in the server? The drivers you can try using are the Windows Server 2008R2 version on our support page. Let me know how it goes.
The issue appears to possibly be the raid controller, or an HBA that is added to the server for storage. When you hit F1, does the server boot to the OS? If not then power down the server and then reseat the controller in its slot.
