Today Dell announced fiscal 2014 first quarter results. Revenue was $14.1 billion, down -2% Y/Y and sequentially. Pricing adjustments that affected gross margins and continued acquisition-related costs in the quarter resulted in GAAP earnings of $0.07 per share and non-GAAP earnings of $0.

Resolution: This is not an issue with OMSA or the OMSA VIB installed on ESXi 5.0 host. The issue is Winrm on Windows XP not compatible with vSphere 5.0 WS-Man support. ESXi 5.0 no longer supports WS-Management communications from the Windows Remote Management (winrm) client running on Windows XP.
