I went through the process of loading Dell's "Check Service Tag software on my Dell 1545 laptop, then ordered a replacement screen for the laptop based on the number that DELL's software provided in it's list of replacement parts. I ordered the part directly from Dell.

I have an Inspiron 7520 and uninstalled and reinstalled the new version of Dell Backup and Recovery Manager -- upgraded to premium to make sure that I would have full ability to use the program. Note: the old version didn't work at all -- hung up on backup, etc. I have rebooted.

I've had this laptop two weeks now and the backlit keyboard has just stopped working. According to Quickset, it is "on" and I've toggled between using the Ambient Light Sensor and not but to no avail. The backlight was working fine up until this morning and now just seems dead in the water.

I have tried to connect via the serial interface but I am unable to get into the base configuration. It does not receive a break command to bypass the start-up, I have tried a direct serial port connection and also a USB Serial connection with multiple applications;

i got a problem with my server, it wont boot up anymore. i got this error display on the screen. " memory/battery problems werer detected. The adapter has recovered but cached data was lost" please help? thanks. jessie

I have a N5110 Inspiron (i7 model, a10 bios, hm67 chipset). I changed my hdd with a ssd successfully. I bought a caddy for the hdd and took out the dvd drive and installed the hdd with the caddy w/o any problem. Now I have 2 hdd's installed without any problem.

Hi, I need help. We just bought an older dell for my husband to use. Year 2004. Runs great but hes a gamer and the graphic card wont support his games. So we want to upgrade it but I cant even figure out how to figure out what the current graphic card is on this.

I have an Inspiron One 2305 and it doesn't wake from sleep (sometimes). I set all power management to completely disable any trace of sleep mode, but it goes to sleep anyway and doesn't wake up--I have to do about 5 hard resets per week. Is there any solution?

I click START >Shutdown and have to wait and wait forever (3-5minutes) for the final prompt to either restart/shutdown/log off.Its is real annoying. I am using a 2007(bios) Latitude Dell 520 laptop (purchased second hand).
