I got a warning when I ran the PC Checker from Dell Support Center on my 1720 running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 that indicated the SMART Short Self Test Timed Out. I have no idea what SMART is or what this warning is about. Is this something I can correct? Is it important and why? 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

I can't get that - or the latest driver from AMD website (13.1 dated 1/17/13) to install. The installer runs, it just does not detect the HD7570 and does not update any drivers. If i go into device manager it always tells me I have the latest when I try to force update it that way. 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

I just purchased an Inspiron 14R for my granddaughter (graduation present). I know Dell doesn't ship OS Recovery disks anymore (poor decision), but I thought I'd be able to create one from the Dell Backup and Recovery app. 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

I am in the process of upgrading the RAM in our dual-processor R410 and would like to verify the configuration before buying the memory. If I am reading the documentation correctly, I believe the following memory configuration should work giving us a total of 124GB in Optimizer mode. 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

So I recently got my X51 and I'm loving it. I splurged a bit and got the blu-ray drive in hopes of playing blu-rays on my computer. The computer shipped with Cyberlink PowerDVD 10. Well, I popped in The Hobbit and it simply wouldn't play. 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

I read that some people did all this to this computer and I'm not sure of what parts to look for and if I can even do it, I also heard that some of them are limited by the chipset to only 2gb and 2gb only regardless the os used...How do I figure this out before I go out and buy the ram? 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

I've registered my system with Dell. I've gone to My Download Locker and Dell Webcam Central isn't there. I can use my webcam with yahoo and skype, but Dell Webcam Central isn't in my list of programs on my laptop for some reason. 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |

Last week, my 8 month old Dell laptop had a virus. I called last Wednesday and paid $130 for service even though it is under warranty. This is less than 6 weeks after you had to replace the network card. 5/20/2013 (Latest Version) | (Forums) |
