m14xr2 booting and freezing for 1-4 minutes then working properly after freeze duration

My laptop is having an issue where it boots up and then it freezes for about 2-4 minutes before you can actually use it. What I mean is when I turn the system on, it goes through boot sequence and passes the welcome screen.
