i have had my dell xps 1645 for around a year now i bought it off a website second hand last night it just shut down now when i turn it on all i get is a flashing mute light and the volume up and down are solid lights.

My AlienWare 51 continues to reboot after being logged into the OS for 5 minutes. I purshased a new PSU, a new MotherBoard(same model as the one that comes with the X51) I puled each Graphic Card one at a time, same with the RAM. I even re-installed the OS.

I just replaced a hard drive in a Dell 8300 and I'm getting ready to reinstall windows 7 back in. I also need to reset the administrators password. My sister-in-law has no idea what the old password is. I'm not sure how to change the password. Help Please

The colours appear distorted and flicker very quickly between offset R, G and B. Only the colour white appears stable. The more black on the screen, the more pronounced the flashing and cycling is.

Sandy. There was a class action suit for this problem before you and I had this problem, but after closure of suit. Most participants were unhappy with the settlement. However, unless I am offered a rememdy, I have an attorney who is willing to file another class action.

I have a 2 year old Dell Ispiron One 2305. About 2-3 times a day the screen just goes black. It is a lighter, back-lit black, compared to the dark black when the machine is completely off. The power button is a constant white when this happens.
