I read that some people did all this to this computer and I'm not sure of what parts to look for and if I can even do it, I also heard that some of them are limited by the chipset to only 2gb and 2gb only regardless the os used...How do I figure this out before I go out and buy the ram?
I have a Inspiron 1501 laptop on which I currently run Visa 32 bit. I'm wanting to upgrade to 64 bit Window's 7 when it comes out. The processor can handle 64 bit as its a AMD 64 X2. I do however wish to upgrade my memory.
I would like to be able to wake from sleep using the supplied Bluetooth keyboard and/or mouse and wonder if this is possible? I expected this would be default behaviour as it typically is with a wired keyboard and mouse.
Normally, if you are not able to get any video on the laptop LCD and the video is fine when the laptop is connected to an external monitor, we determine the issue to be that of LCD failure. 8 beeps is also indicative of video failure.
I have a dell n5110 inspiron and lately the fan is overheatng. Maybe is the dust inside, but this never happen, maybe i download a software to tweak my system and it change the fan's speed to full to make my pc faster.

Sorry I forgot I had scrolled down and found the procedure. However when I went to Imaging devices there wasn't any so the next step was to "contact tech support". The laptop is out of warranty so tech support will charge $$ and I am trying to repair this without paying. Jerry
So I dug my old Latitude D630 out from the attic, turned it on, and it still works, and it actually connected to my router! However, only the wireless connects, not the wired connection. When I plug an ethernet cable in, the computer does not recognize the cable, and tells me a cable is unplugged...
I had to replace my hard drive. Dell sent me new OS and Drive disks, How do I get my pre installed programs (Word, Excel, Web Cam ect. ect.) back. I did not receive disks. I though there would be something here on the Dell web site. Now what?!?! PLEASE HELP!!!!!
