I went through the process of loading Dell's "Check Service Tag software on my Dell 1545 laptop, then ordered a replacement screen for the laptop based on the number that DELL's software provided in it's list of replacement parts. I ordered the part directly from Dell.
I've had this laptop two weeks now and the backlit keyboard has just stopped working. According to Quickset, it is "on" and I've toggled between using the Ambient Light Sensor and not but to no avail. The backlight was working fine up until this morning and now just seems dead in the water.
