When I’ve been running my XPS L501X on battery alone (disconnected from the AC adapter) for a half hour or so and then reconnect to the AC adapter, I get a message saying that the AC adapter type cannot be determined. I’m using the Dell AC adapter that came with the computer (from Dell).
I need to find out how to disable the touch pad for my Inspiron N5030. The problem is that it does NOT show up as any listed hardware device, so it can't be shut off. I can find nothing on here that shows that it even exists, and the hot key for it doesn't work either.
