I have my xps 15 for around a year .Great machine to work with . But recently my laptop left palm rest gets too hot . I don't know why . Please help

I've just bought a new Dell computer (Inspiron 15R 5520) for my daughter which comes with Windows 8. However, there is no Windows 8 reinstallation disk.

I have a 2 month old E6530 laptop that sits on a docking station while at work. The docking station has two monitors connected via Display Ports and I have always been able to use these two displays and the built in display at the same time.
