Is there a way that I can get the docking station serial number whilst the laptop is connected to the docking station? Is there a script that I can run or where is the info kept in the registry? The info must be somewhere. The problem is I dont know where to go and look for it....

I bought one and could not find the drive at all in My Computer (only a 440GB drive was the C: drive - yeah, it's supposed to be 500GB, but it's not all available). I tried looking in the device manager to see if it even existed, and could not find it there either.

HI I HAVE A DELL XPS M170 LAPTOP. WHILE USING IT POWERED ITSELF DOWN. WHEN I TRY TO TURN IT BACK ON THE POWER LED COMES ON FOR 2-3 SECONDS AND THEN GOES OUT, NO DISPLAY, NO FANS, NOTHING.THE LED ON THE THE POWER ADAPTER IS LIT AND THE BATTERY TEST LIGHT WORKS. I TRIED AN EXTERNAL MONITOR, NOTHING.
