I bought a Dell Dimension in 2001 and it came with a Canon scanner. I just bought a new Delll Dimension 3000 with Windows XP and I tried to use my scanner. Reply was that it is not signed for XP. Is there some way I can get it signed for XP? Thank you.

Is there a difference between a document scanner and a scanner which is part of an all-in-one machine? I want to be able to scan a document and save it as a Word document allowing be to be able to edit it at a later time. The scanner that comes with my all-in-one only saves it.
