Is there any way to bring these back online and get the server up and running without starting from scratch please? Server is 4 years old, No Dell Support.
Documentation says 256/512 file systems. If all my users are Windows/CIFS, what would I use them for? I was thinking one file system could be legal department, another purchasing, and so on. Is that not what they are for or is "file system" only something specific to NFS vs. CIFS? Thanks.
I can't get that - or the latest driver from AMD website (13.1 dated 1/17/13) to install. The installer runs, it just does not detect the HD7570 and does not update any drivers. If i go into device manager it always tells me I have the latest when I try to force update it that way.
I have a PowerEdge 1600sc, which I have been trying to convert to an efficient desktop. However, it is not working out in my favor. I can not clearly watch a video or play a simple flash game without substantial lag and distortion.
I have an Inspiron 17R laptop, purchased new two weeks ago, that now will not boot. It powers on, briefly shows the Dell screen, then the screen goes to blue. I have run the hardware diagnostics and it shows no problems or error messages. Pressing F8 does nothing.
I've registered my system with Dell. I've gone to My Download Locker and Dell Webcam Central isn't there. I can use my webcam with yahoo and skype, but Dell Webcam Central isn't in my list of programs on my laptop for some reason.
@Dell TechCenter: sadly no, but our new network setup enables us to deploy and manage Dell hw at the company we recently bought with ~100 employees. They currently have a bunch of brands, so we're going to gradually replace everything with Dell hw.
I've got a M17xR3 which i bought a couple of years ago, and was wondering if there was anyway of arranging with Dell to get a graphics card upgrade. I'm currently running a Geforce GTX 560M which can't really cope with today's games (my fault for being cheap i guess!)
I'm able to use internet through browser but none of the applications connect to internet, it says data connection not available or data & time setting not correct. Also if I try to download any file through browser it is not downloaded, it says download interepted.
I just purchased an Inspiron 14R for my granddaughter (graduation present). I know Dell doesn't ship OS Recovery disks anymore (poor decision), but I thought I'd be able to create one from the Dell Backup and Recovery app.
