Hi, I had to replace the screen on my Inspiron N7010 after the LCD randomly died. Replacing the screen was easier than expected, but the front bezel (34YFF) isn't reattaching -- when one portion of the piece pops securely in, another piece pops out like a game of whack a mole.
I downloaded and installed the new driver which restored my scrolling but now the touchpad is jumping all over the place. I tried reducing the sensitivity but it is still doing it. It is driving me NUTS!
Dell did ship these with Phenom II-X4 CPUs, so most of the Socket S1-G4 CPUs should work. Stick to models with identical or similar power requirements - installing a CPU that requires more power than the original, is an invitation to system instability.
I shut it down, and started it back up and the noise continued. I turned it off and left it for the night. When I started it up this morning, all was well, for about 5 minutes or so. Then the noise started again, and it will not stop.

I have a Dell Inspiron One 2330. My printer is a Dell wireless V525w. Everything worked fine until I just moved and now have a new router. I entered the new password into my computer and iPad and now have internet but neither is picking up the printer.
2) I am asking question 1 because this machine had a virus... which upon rebooting to complete removal the machine would show the windows moths flying around and coming together, than a fast flash of a blue screen with white letters, then it would begin to boot again... in an endless loop.
My Dell Inspiron M5010 is not powering up anymore: I get 7 beeps on startup and my screen remains black. I already tried different procedures to fix the problem (removing battery, let the computer cool down etc.) but nothing helped. My notebook is only 1.5 years old!!
I noticed on the Alienware x51 it has 2 HDMI ports. One is the Intel, and the other is the GTX 660. I noticed i get better performance when i plug my Asus VE278Q monitor into the bottom HDMI port which is considered plugging straight to the Graphics card.
Hi Karen, I upgraded my M11xR3 to Windows 8 and I cannot get webcam to work either. (Integrated) Webcam does show up in Device Manager list, under Imaging Devices. Microsoft Driver Version is 6.2.9200.16420, from 6/21/2006. Any hints for activating the webcam? Thanks, TomE
It's not clear from your description whether you mean that your drive has failed, or that it is missing in Windows. Let me suggest you click the link below to my troubleshooting guide and follow the instructions to test the hardware.
I just was given a Dell V715W wireless all in one printer as a gift. I got it home downloaded the drivers and installed it. All worked fine except when I try to copy something I get a message saying "Unrecoverable scan error".
