Have the infamous spinning logo on the Dell splash screen and the computer is 4 months old.. That's as far as it goes. After rebooting several times I get the Preparing Automatic Repair and then it goes to a wonderful black screen and does nothing.

2) I am asking question 1 because this machine had a virus... which upon rebooting to complete removal the machine would show the windows moths flying around and coming together, than a fast flash of a blue screen with white letters, then it would begin to boot again... in an endless loop.

The BIOS has no settings for it. It will boot from a flash drive. I would like to boot from my Acronis 2013 Recovery Console CD. Anyone have any success to boot from a USB CD/DVD drive?
