Oddly enough it seems that the track pad/mouse pointer stops working when the screen is black. e.g. during the time the screen is black the pointer on the screen doesn't move. I thought it might be related to the back light on the keyboard or the touch buttons.
I installed/reinstalled all the drivers you listed, but as you can see in the screenshot below, those two are still out. Also, the USB 3.0 controller (which makes sense; my machine doesn't have USB 3.0; all three ports are black.
