Hi seregasa, Dell XPS L702X supports a maximum of 16 GB memory. You may install 2 modules of 8 GB each. Let me know if you need any information or assistance. I will be glad to assist.

I also want to upgrade my 702 to 16Gb of memory with 2 of 8Gb sticks. Specs are i7 2820QM and nVidia 555, but 900p screen. So it has only 2 slots of memory. Dell stated that 4Gb per slot is a max, but it was when the largest amount of memory per stick was 4Gb. So What's now?
A 2.5” Solid State Drive (SSD) will fit into the system. However, the system support SATA II drives and the one that you have selected is a SATA III drive. You may find a 2.5” SATA II SSD. It should work fine.
Caution: Based on the results of the WinSAT Disk assessment, your system drive may have slower response times under some workloads. Performance results will depend on the specific applications used and the amount of memory available. If your experience is satisfactory, no action is needed.
SATA 3Gis half the speed of SATA 6G -- the drive should work, though. That said, 60G is a bit small since you can have only one drive in the system.
There are many drivers needed after a clean install, starting with the Dell notebook system software and chipset driver. The order of installation is CRITICAL. support.dell.comdocument
